Mare Management and Foaling
MARE MANAGEMENT
Under the supervision of a veterinarian, each mare is carefully monitored.
The veterinarian determines the right moment for insemination or embryo transfer and carries out the procedure.
Afterwards, the mare is checked to confirm pregnancy.
Throughout the gestation period, we provide ongoing care and monitoring.

FOALING
Mares are brought to the foaling stall well in advance.
We use the Sigloo birth alarm, which wirelessly signals the start of labor. The sensor is placed on the vulva and detects when the mare begins to foal by monitoring dilation, alerting us via phone. In addition, the stables are under camera surveillance.
We assist the mare during the delivery phase, and the veterinarian is contacted immediately if there are any complications.
The foal receives all necessary initial care.
All essential checks, including blood tests and the foal vaccination, are performed by the veterinarian.
The mare is treated if the placenta is not completely expelled.
Both mare and foal are closely monitored during the first days after birth.
